This Thursday, June 10 we will ride Marshall Mesa and other connecting trails depending on time. As with past rides, we will break into 2 or 3 groups. We will all meet at the main Marshall Mesa trail head parking lot (from Boulder take Broadway just south of Boulder, left at stop light next to Eldorado Market and first right into parking lot) at 5:45 and be ready to ride at 6.
Marshall Mesa is suitable for all levels.
If you would like to carpool, please meet at the Baseline/Broadway Whole Foods parking lot at 5:25.
Following the ride, we will have dinner and drinks at a place TBD (something healthy and quick).
Important info about the rides:
- All riders MUST wear a helmet, bring water and bring a trail ready bike. Riders should also carry the usual basics; spare tube, a pump, tire lever, a chain tool and basic Allen wrenches.
- All riders ride at their own risk. Ride leaders take no responsibility for rider safety/injury.
- Riders must sign a liability waiver once during the season. If this is your first ride of the season please bring a signed copy of the waiver to the ride or be prepared to sign one at the meeting spot.
- Rides launch at 6:00 PM, so please be at the ride spot at 5:45PM, dressed and ready to roll at 6:00PM.
- If the weather is iffy please make sure to check the blog at 3:00 PM on Thursdays for updated info.
- Please don't be shy about coming out. All of us love biking and would like to hang out with girls that are interested in biking.
- For planning purposes, please post your name in the comments section if you plan on joining us. The comments section is also great for planning carpools, etc. If you cannot access the blog post, let us know you will be there by emailing us atbmagirls.rideleader@gmail.com

Just a heads up that this Boulder County event is happening on the trail that night / time:
ReplyDeleteThe Riches of Ditches - a bike tour
Thu Jun 10, 4 - 7 pm
Boulder County is dissected by irrigation ditches carrying the water of life to thirsty fields. Many ditches date to territorial times and are steeped in colorful stories of water wars, farmers and ranchers. Meet OSMP's Bob Crifasi at the Marshall Mesa trailhead to bike into history, and see how our ditches have shaped the landscape of Boulder. Our 5 mile one-way route follows creeks and irrigation channels to end at the Bobolink Trailhead on South Boulder Creek, where the program ends. You may bike back to Marshall Mesa or make other arrangements.
I'll be at the carpool spot with room for two. Or I could also ride with someone! Bring your sunscreen, it's going to be toasty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up Helen. We will try to stay out of each other's way, which should be doable based on the timing of our two events.
ReplyDeleteI will be meeting for the ride at the TH (the car pool is WAY out of my way from my work commute). I'm thinking we'll go to Lark Burger for dinner!
